Dr. X. Sherry Liu wins ORS NIRA Award

Dr. X. Sherry Liu, postdoctoral fellow from the Bone Bioengineering Laboratory in the Departments of Biomedical Engineering and Medicine, won the prestigious New Investigator Recognition Award (NIRA) at the 55th Annual Meeting of the Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS). Dr. X. Sherry Liu is one of the ten winners among almost 1,000 applicants. Her award winning work is on the application of novel three-dimensional individual trabecula segmentation based morphological analysis to detect bone microstructural abnormalities in osteoporotic young women.
