Wei-Ning Lee Wins New Investigator Award

Wei-Ning Lee, a doctoral student mentored by Dr. Elisa E. Konofagou, the director of the Ultrasound and Elasticity Imaging Laboratory in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, won the New Investigator Award at the 2009 Annual Convention of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, in New York in April. She was awarded for her scientific abstract presentation, entitled "In Vivo Validation of Left Ventricular Strains at Variable Levels of Myocardial Ischemia," co-authored by Jean Provost, M.S. and Kana Fujikura, M.D., Ph.D. Jie Wang, M.D. and Elisa E. Konofagou, Ph.D.
