The Business Plan

The Concept

Many considerations were taken into account in the design of the iQueue, with each one carefully worked into the product to maximize its utility and ease of use. The result is a device that seamlessly integrates pill cutting, pill dispensing, dosage scheduling, and communication with medical professionals:

The Opportunity

There is huge opportunity for the development of an entirely new product that the market has not seen before. Our target market is wide-ranging, crossing gender and age lines. The people who will buy our product will be those who are on a regimented prescription schedule. The vast majority of the elderly population (38 million over 65), the handicapped (49.7 million, 2000 census), and anyone else on a daily medication regimen will benefit from the iQueue. This includes and is not limited to patients who have undergone transplants, have chronic conditions, and patients on pain medications. We expect this market to grow as the baby boomer population ages over the next 10-20 years and demand a lifestyle that is more active than in the past. Our population of disabled veterans is also on the rise and will constitute a growing segment of our customer base. Also, the majority of our customers will be on more than one regular medication and will therefore be able to purchase multiple devices and adaptors for different sized and shaped pills. The iQueue is an intelligent and elegant device with features that appeal to the ever-expanding population of people on a regimented prescription schedule.
