Professor Elisa Konofagou wins Bodossaki Foundation Distinguished Young Scientists Award

Elisa E. Konofagou, Robert and Margaret Hariri Professor of BME and Chair of Graduate Studies, has been awarded the esteemed Bodossaki Foundation Distinguished Young Scientists Award in Applied Science for her outstanding achievements in developing ultrasound technology for imaging and therapeutics.

The Bodossaki Foundation established the award in 1993 to recognize and support the work of scientists of Greek descent up to 45 years of age. According to the Bodossaki Foundation, criteria for this award include “outstanding achievements of the candidates in their given field and completion of their research, their contribution to the cultural, scientific and economic development of Greece, their contribution to the international promotion of Greece through their work and ethics.”
