Undergraduate Advising

Advising in BME centers on close, ongoing interactions between students and BME faculty advisors, who provide guidance on major requirements, career planning and student life. Students are assigned a BME faculty advisor as soon as they enter the department.

Each semester, students are strongly encouraged to meet with the BME Senior Student Affairs Manager to stay on track for graduation. Prior to registration, students will receive an email inviting them to schedule an advising appointment. Advising may take place through group sessions or one-on-one meetings.

The BME advising system complements support from CSA and the Center for Career Education; non-technical course questions go to CSA, while major-specific inquiries are directed to BME.
